Gingerbread man

A gingerbread man is a funny biscuit in the shape of a humanoid with stubby feet and no fingers. The eyes, mouth and other elements can be made of chocolate, sugar or other baking products.
The origin of this funny biscuit goes back to 15th century. In the court of Queen Elizabeth I of England, those biscuits were made in the shape of some of the Queen's important guests.
The Gingerbread man is very popular in some English-speaking countries such as USA or Australia. Nowadays it has become internationally known thanks to the film Shrek where one of these biscuits appears. Its name is Gingy and it can talk as humans do. This character is derived from the children's story The Gingerbread Man.
